Poe themed Cabaret – July 13, 2019
Woven Psyche will be offering performative tarot during a two-act cabaret show along with storytellers, musicians, costume enthusiasts, magicians, and others for a tribute to Edgar Allan Poe. You can also sign up in advance to receive a private reading from Woven Psyche during the event. Tickets available here.
Capital Coven Lunar Enlightment Series at Femme Fatale DC – July 16, 2019
Capital Coven is a community of kindred spirits interested in the other-worldly and who support each other in spiritual development. The Coven meets monthly and Woven Psyche will be joining them at Femme Fatale on July 16 for a discussion of tarot themes and the creation of a tarot-inspired art piece.
Femme Fatale Continuation Party – May 31, 2019
Join me Friday, May 31 at a party celebrating the continuation of Femme Fatale DC‘s current Columbia Heights popup! March 8, 2019 – Women in the Arts Popup
Woven Psyche is proud to be talking tarot at DC Swim Week’s March 8th Women in the Arts Popup in Georgetown. Emily will have a table where she will offer free tarot demonstrations, hand out free “tarot is feminist” stickers, book readings and have gift certificates available for sale. Come by to receive a 20% discount on your next tarot reading.
November 4, 2018 – Awaken: A Self Care Social
In collaboration with Alison Waldman, The Lavender Junkie, and Dacha Beer Garden
Join three of DC’s self-care leaders – Emily from Woven Psyche, yoga teacher Alison Waldman, and Priscilla of DC’s The Lavender Junkie – for a workshop and accompanying social hour that offer an accessible approach to multiple mindfulness practices for both body and mind.
We’ll be together for the workshop in a private space at the Dacha Beer Garden Loft from 2-4 PM. Then, join Emily, Alison, Priscilla and your fellow participants in the beer garden for a social hour. Make new friends, get additional pointers on mindfulness and empowerment, and reflect on your experiences and lessons learned during the workshop.
The event is a perfect opportunity to treat yourself, destress, reflect, and take a few hours away from the fast pace of Washington life. If you’re not already familiar with tarot, yoga, or embodiment practices don’t worry! No preexisting knowledge is required to benefit from this event, which offers something for everyone looking to refresh the senses, reset and check in.
May 17, 2018 – Perfume Making Workshop Collaboration with Distill Creative
Woven Psyche is teaming up with Distill Creative and Colony Club to offer a perfume-making workshop that 1- gives you a crash course in perfume-making basics, 2- lets you take home your own 9 mL (1/3 oz) custom-blended (because you made it yourself) perfume.
April 25, 2018 – Free Tarot Happy Hour at La Tomate (Dupont Circle)
From 6 – 9 PM on Wednesday, April 25 Woven Psyche will be hosting a Free Tarot Happy Hour at La Tomate . Come enjoy tasty treats, conversation with new friends, and mini tarot readings. Attendees will be able to book future readings and private events at a special 20% discount during the happy hour, and there will also be an opportunity to win a free 60 minute private tarot reading to share with a friend.
April 24, 2018: Woven Psyche will be making an appearance at Little Salon. Little Salon is the coolest event you can possibly attend in the DC area, hands down. It features a different set of performing artists in a different house in a different neighborhood every month. And at the upcoming salon 12 lucky attendees will be treated to Woven Psyche mini tarot readings. Also, burlesque belly dancing? Yes please.
April 23, 2018: Woven Psyche is honored to have been invited to read tarot cards for attendees at the Collective Action for Safe Spaces annual fundraising gala, Space Jam.
Collective Action for Safe Spaces is a DC area non-profit that combats street harassment and assault and makes the world safer for everyone. CASS is behind that anti-harassment campaign in the DC Metro system that you’ve probably seen before, and is also doing a ton of other great stuff.
