I love this feminized interpretation, which to me reinforces the existing concept in tarot that strength is a feminine virtue. The traditional hierophant has always been depicted as male, and I have always viewed it as having a restrictive, controlling, big brother type energy. How does this image change that interpretation? I find myself relating to it so much more and feeling so much less turned off... it becomes more about relying on wisdom and heritage and falling back on a community of female elders and matriarchs...I dig it. 🌟🌙🔮BETWEEN SUMMER AND FALL🌟🌙🔮 DC is in that weird transitional place right now when it feels like it should be fall but still has all the vestiges of summer weather. 🌟🌙🔮FEEL INSPIRED BY THE MOON🔮🌙🌟 Last weekend at the Capital Tarot Society I discovered a new deck that *almost* makes me want to cheat on my go-to deck, the Goddess Tarot. It is simply called "the Good Tarot" (which immediately makes me think of "the Good Place" of which I am currently watching season 3, love it) and it features the most beautiful fantastical art... it reminds me of the kinds of dreamlike, fairytale illustrations that drew me in as a kid. I could have stared at something like this for hours. 🔮 But how does it READ tho??? And that is the lesson I have to give about deck choice, because the fact that a deck is beautiful doesn't mean it's easy to read with. I have to tell my beginners workshop students this a lot. Sometimes they will show up at a workshop and say they already have a deck and have tried to learn to read with it and can't figure out what's going wrong and then I have to tell them that they picked a deck with imagery so spare it's difficult to learn with because it provides no clues as to the card's meanings (the Wild Unknown is a beautiful but frequent culprit).
